Lead and participate in collaborative research projects with industry to advance DER and DSM analytics and enable technologies for manufacturing, transportation, and built-environment economic sectors.
Work with industry for to identify challenges and technology barriers to implementing DER and DSM, and of jointly develop solutions and investment opportunities, including public-private partnerships.
Collaborate with public agencies and communities to develop tools and analytics that identify policy and regulation barriers, and to support policies that incentivize the adoption of DER and DSM technologies.
LESS also is home to a Department of Energy-funded Industry Assessment Center (IAC) program, which is in charge of field managing over 20 DOE assessment centers around the United States. LESS and IAC are currently gearing up to partner with U.S. industry on analyzing the technological and financial challenges we face as we move toward smart manufacturing practices and solutions.
